When Tobias was trapped, his uncle couldn't stand being without someone, so he adopted me. I found out the secret when Rachel asked me why I lived there.
"I'm adopted." I said.
"Do you know what happened to the first child of this house?" She asked.
"What?"
"Are you with the sharing"
"No, of course not."
"Girl, we've got some work to do."
She took me shopping, and told me what went on the night at the construction site. She even took me through.
"You get it now?" She asked later that night.
"I guess, but what does this have to do with me?"
"I want to take you some where."
She dragged me off to Tobias's home.
"Hey, Tobias. Come over here."
A hawk flew over head. I screamed and ducked.
"Rachel, what's up?" The hawk asked.
"Tobias come down here. I want you to meet someone." She said. The hawk swooped, and landed in the grass.
"Who do you want me to meet?" The hawk asked.
"Tobias, meet your sister." Rachel said.
"Um, hi." I said meekly.
"Rachel, how can she be my sister, she doesn't even look like me." The hawk demorphed. Rachel told me about morphing, but she left out Tobias completely.
"So, your my sister. Who's our mom?"
"I was adopted. I never met my mom. She left me on a doorstep."
"So, you know. Tomorrow, go home with Rachel, I'll have an emergency meeting. Goodnight." He morphed back.
"Tomorrow is a Saturday." Rachel said.
"Can I spend the night at your house, I want to know more."
The next day we met with the rest of the animorphs in Cassie's barn. Her dad owns a wildlife clinic. Marco, Jake, Cassie, Rachel, a guy named Ax, and Tobias told me the bare essentials. They also told me that I'm an honorary member.
That's how my life went from weird to weirder.
