One day a kid was walking with a friend from the mall they went through an abandoned construction site to get home quicker. While they were walking one of them tripped over something sky blue in color. The kid turned back and saw his friend sprawled on the ground. He looked at what his friend tripped over, it was a box, not very big but heavy for its size. He picked it up. All of a sudden he felt a shock. He dropped the box. His other friend felt a shock, the box fell to the ground, and all of a sudden a hologram appeared too advanced to be human.
A centaur-like creature appeared, but when the two boys looked closer, they saw that the humanoid torso wasn't so normal. For one thing, the first thing you notice is that he has no mouth or no nose, just three vertical slits where his nose should be. He talked, but he wasn't speaking to their ears, he was speaking to their brain with something like telepathy. He told them about a parasitic race that takes over other species. It tells about that at this very moment there are humans beings with these filthy slugs in their heads. He tells about himself, being an andalite. He told them that the andalites fight the yeerks everywhere they go. He then asks them if they would like to help fight the yeerks. The boys ask how. The andalite smiles with his eyes, which is very weird but also comforting at the same time. {You're already endowed with a power, a piece of andalite technology that the yeerks do not have. You will have the power to morph. The power to transform into any animal you touch, just concentrate on that animal while touching it, then concentrate on it again without touching him and you will morph into it. I noticed that you wear clothes; our princes wear special ceremonial robes. We have discovered that tight fitting clothes and loafer type shoes will morph. There are others like you who have the power to morph. Take this piece of paper.} From the cube all of a sudden a folded up piece of paper came out. {This will tell you the names of these others that fight the yeerks as you do. Join them and form a fighting force powerful enough to hold off the yeerk invasion until other andalites arrive. Also take this cube with you and give this power to three others. The yeerks are every where, so I have also endowed you with the power to see who is a controller.} They both nodded, and the boy placed the cube into his pocket. {Good luck my friends.} Then the hologram flickered and the andalite was gone. The boys swiftly walked the rest the way home.
The next day the boy who had tripped over the box was in the bed, and his mother called in. "Anthony are you awake?" his mother called to him through his door, "Jon's here to see you." He got up and unlocked his door.
What he saw was a face that was glowing with a big bright smile on his face. As soon as he got inside he shut and locked the door and looked around like there might be a spy lurking around. He told him that last night he morphed his dog Slick, who turns out to be a Irish setter. All of a sudden his face started to bulge out and he started to shrink. Anthony asked him what was happening and he mumbled some strange language, like what a person would sound like if his tongue were swollen. Then he heard Jon's voice in his head. He caught the last of what Jon was trying to say at first; he said he was morphing. I said, oh. He said he didn't know anyone could here him.
I took out the cube that gave us the power to morph and the piece of paper and started to read. It said-- the name of their leader is Jake. "Lets go to his place first."
When they arrived at Jake's they knocked on the door. A older person than on the sheet described opened the door.
"Is Jake here?"
"Hold on one second." Soon a tall blond-haired blue eyed strongly built person appeared in the door.
"You're Jake, right?"
"Yeah," Jake replied, "Who are you?"
"We will explain later. For now, can we go somewhere to talk privately?"
"Sure, come with me." He led us up to his room and locked the door behind us. The boy pulled out the morphing cube. Jake's eyes grew wide in excitement, he asked in a whispered voice, "Where did you get that?"
"An abandoned construction site." Jon replied, "We know who and what you are or should I say, what you can become, and we also have the power to morph, and to give three others the power to morph."
Anthony spoke up "Your brother Tom is one of them isn't he?"
Jake's mouth dropped open in awe, "How did you know that?"
"Because I have the power to see who's a controller or not. We would like to join you animorphs and also bring three new members into the fight."
"I definitely have to call the other members." He picked up the phone in his room and dialed Cassie. "Hello, Cassie, this is Jake. Can you come over? I have some of my friends here, they have a sick animal. Call Rachel, Marco, and Phillip so we can all go to the mall together. Okay, be there in 15 minutes." After Jake hung up-"You guys, I called the rest of the members over. Another thing we have to do is we have to get three more morphers, and after that we are going to the gardens to get you some dangerous morphs to use for battle. We need to get you a bird of prey morph."
After about 15 minutes everybody arrived and there was a tapping at the window. A red-tailed hawk was at the window. The girl named Rachel went over and pulled up the window and inside fluttered a hawk. Then all of a sudden I heard {hello everybody} in my head and the first thing to enter my mind was andalite. Then when everyone settled Jake started the meeting.
"First off I'd like every body to meet our new members, Jon and Anthony."
"What do you mean new members?" Marco asked.
Jake replied, "The new members of the animorphs."
"Jake, what are you doing?" Rachel said with her teeth gritted.
"It's alright, Rachel, we too have the power to morph." said Anthony.
Rachel's and everybody else's mouths hung open in surprise.
"How do we know that?" Marco said.
Right at that moment Jon's jaws protruded from his mouth he started to grow fur and his ears started to move to the top of his head. Stubby nails replaced fingers. Soon, Jon was unable to stand erect and fell to all fours. Last of all a tail protruded from behind him. Soon Jon was no longer human. Marco said he had a morph like that.
"Next thing to do is go member hunting and find three new members, then get some dangerous morphs for these guys. We might want to pick up some new morphs ourselves." Cassie said.
The next day at school we picked our targets. Anthony and Jon scanned them, if they were yeerks picked another target, if not we would have determine if they were brave enough to be animorphs. After that they followed them home then corner them and tell them about the threat. Ask if he'd like to help, if he said no then just walk away, if he said yes then show him the cube and give him the power to morph. WHAMMO new member.
They did this three times then they took them back to Cassie's barn.
"Hey everybody meet the new members," Anthony said, "This is Mary, this is James, and this is Jennifer."
The first thing out of Jennifer's mouth was "This is WEIRD."
"I know, just calm down." Cassie said, "First of all we have to get you some bird morphs." All the new members followed Cassie to some cages. "The choices are peregrine falcon."
"I want that one!" Jon said.
"Okay acquire it while I hold it still."
He reached his hand out and acquired the bird, then while the bird was still in a trance, Cassie put it back in the cage. Anthony pointed to a golden eagle that had been electrocuted he said, "I want that one!" Pointing anxiously he ran over touched the bird, acquired it.
Then they put on tight gym clothes and then morphed their birds. Then the rest of the animorphs morphed their birds. Cassie explained that they were going to the gardens to get dangerous battle morphs. They soon hopped a bus to the gardens. The new members brought some money with them, so they entered the park and headed straight for the indoor area. For the animals that Cassie was leading the way to were the big cats and powerful animals.
